How was your team formed? Why this name and image? Tell us a bit about your story!

Antro was born as the final thesis of Norman Benet and Pol Ferrando, with the idea of making a small game that would focus on hip-hop and urban culture. The project quickly became far too ambitious for a group of two, so they reached out to contacts and friends looking for artistic profiles to complement their technical background.

People often think that Gatera has something to do with cats, as "cat" translates to "gat" in Catalan and "gato" in Spanish. Nevertheless, Gatera is a word used in a few towns in the north of Catalonia that translates to being very drunk, as we learned thanks to a member of the team that lives there. We liked the word and thought it sounded good as a team name. That's also why the logo is a dude puking.

How do you picture the future for your studio?

Our goal is to keep making games that reflect the studio's values. We are young and idealistic, and we want to make games that deal with themes relevant to the younger generations.

What do you think makes your game special and worth playing?

What makes Antro special is that everything is carefully designed with the purpose of elevating the music. The gameplay helps the players feel the rhythm of the urban soundtrack, as there are actions and environments synchronized with the tempo of the song. The world and the story of Antro are also crafted using the common themes of urban music, so they can perfectly blend together.

What's been the biggest challenge you've encountered so far?

The biggest challenge has been managing the big team that Gatera studio is. We did not realize how the complexity of managing a team quickly scales the more people you are. It's easier to find many people willing to work a few hours per week instead of a guy willing to work for 40h per week, but it makes it much harder to manage.

Would you recommend other indie studios to go through the incubation program? If so, why?

Absolutely! Trying to make an indie game from scratch is a brutal learning experience. Having expert counseling with easy access can make a huge difference. There are many expensive mistakes that we could have avoided if we had proper counseling from an early stage.

As for Unity – do you use any additional plugins?

If so, which ones?Yes we use additional plugins. Are the following: Corgi engine, Odin (Sirenix), Curvy Splines & Bakery

Since you have 94 Followers on Steam, that might convert to around 1000 Wishlists. Is that true?
